Access There are two car parks on site for about 25 cars, street parking and a public car park at the southern side of the medical centre in George St. The Hall is on 2 levels and accessible from two approaches: walkway steps through the lower garden from George Street and the other from the car park off Tintenbar Road which is flat and accessible for people with limited mobility.
Auditorium An open space of 8.5 X 12.8 m with a polished wooden floor suitable for dancing and an entrance alcove to greet guests. A large mirror gives an illusion of a larger and lighter space over all, and is also ideal for dance/performance. Seating capacity (chairs only), for a performance of approximately 140 people Tables and chairs capacity for a reception/dinner of 80 or a tight 100 people.
The heritage stage is at the front of the auditorium with an area of 3.7 X 6.5 m. It has a black curtain at the rear and opening curtains at the front: ideal for a band, performance or presentation. At the rear of the stage is a small dressing room for costumes, storage or performer’s use.
At the rear of the hall there is a modern, small kitchenette. It has a double sink with continuous hot water, two fridges, microwave, hot water urn, some glasses, plates, mugs etc. Refreshments from the kitchenette can be served through retractable serving windows into the hall and to the outside BBQ/lawn area. A fenced grassed area at the entrance may be used as a BBQ or sitting out space.
Verandah In late 2012 a large covered verandah (Rai’s over Tintenbar) was added to the Hall extending its capacity by approximately 100 %. The all-weather, elevated verandah overlooks the Village, garden, the valley and Emigrant Creek. French doors give access from the Hall. There is access directly from the car park as well. There is seating capacity of approximately 80-90 people in this area.
Lower Level The lower level of the Hall is a large separate space of 7.5 x7.5 m and offers flexibility as a meeting room, dining area or large food preparation area/ kitchen. It is a fully equipped commercial kitchen with: · a wet area with a double, deep sink and hot water. · 2 electric ovens and large stove with 5 gas ring burners. · 1 fridge and 1 freezer as well as commercial dishwasher, microwave, and pie heater. · 3 stainless steel benches for food preparation that are on casters and can be conveniently moved and also have shelves for easy storage.
Toilets A covered walkway/verandah from the auditorium leads to the new toilet block comprising a unisex accessible toilet, a male toilet and three ladies toilets.
General Equipment The Hall comes with amenities that hall users may also use including: · Ceiling fans · 20 trestle tables · 6 small wooden tables · 150 chairs, mostly with arms ( plastic not for use on the grass areas.) · Rubbish bins, brooms, mops etc. · Tea and coffee making facilities: hot water urn, large tea pots etc
General Information There is a set of catering supplies and utensils available for hire and which is additional cost to the hire of the Hall. Please seeBook the hall There are no paid staff at the Hall. Accordingly all cleaning, preparation for events and rubbish removal should be undertaken by the user. The Hall is operated by a voluntary Committee of people who love to see the Hall hired and enjoyed by all.
